Ever hear someone say, "The Lord told me..."? Sometimes what they say the Lord told them to do is pretty ridiculous. It's usually a crazy relative or someone religious zealot. And then, sometimes it's actually something that God would REALLY say to someone like me, a normal (well I think I'm normal :) pastor's wife.
My husband relies on the "voice" of God to guide him during the week while he studies and prepares the sermons. But God speaks to anyone, using anyone. He doesn't just use the Bible or prayer. God tends to use those closest to us. And it's not always in a kind way. It can be someone who gives us the honest truth - the Biblical truth!
Sometimes it's not easy determining the call of God. And that's what it is - a calling! God calls us to use our gifts for His glory. But what do we do, if we don't feel qualified. My husband has a saying and I'm sure it's not his. It is:
"God does not call the qualified,
He qualifies the called."
He qualifies the called."
I am not a Biblical scholar and do not pretend to be one (in real life or on TV!) But I feel like God is telling me to begin our T.I.T.U.S. Ministry again. This time, not just for homeschoolers. My burden seems to be for women in general. I want that TITUS mentorship. I want to connect young Christian women, maybe those who are newly married to women who have been married a while. It's the typical TITUS role model.
"...that they admonish the young women..."
Titus 2:4
Now, let's be obedient! Let's see what the good Lord has in store for 2015 for this ministry. I am looking forward to it!
