Independence Day

This Sunday just happens to be the 4th of July.  Our church plans to celebrate after our services with swimming and bar-b-que and good fellowship!  Our family also plans to celebrate in 2 other traditional ways.  Saturday night we are going to host our own "Fireworks Display" and on Sunday evening, we are going to enjoy the city of Southaven's fireworks.  We have not been to Southaven's but we have been to Olive Branch's fireworks.  We will see for ourselves which one is best.  We have several friends who have been to Southaven's and highly recommend it!

Independence Day.  That is what this day is called.  It is the day that Americans remember our "independence" from bondage.  A day that we celebrate our independence as a nation.  Our founding fathers I think would roll over in their graves should they even glance at what our nation has become- self-serving, prideful, arrogant, greedy, godless heathens!  The men and women in leadership up on Capitol Hill, in Washington, in our own backyards do not live to glorify our Lord.  They have forgotten Who gave them their "Independence."  It wasn't man but God!

Have a Happy 4th and May the Lord bless you this day and every day coming!
